| BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH He studied the BS in Physics at the Faculty of Sciences of the UNAM from 1989 to 1993. He got his master’s degree and PhD at the University of Princeton, USA, from 1993 and 1998. His doctoral thesis of molecular abundances on magnetic shock waves was led by Dr. Bruce Draine. Dr. Peimbert, currently, works at the Institute of Astronomy, since March 1998, studying photoionized regions, particularly detailed determinations of physical characteristics as well as the determination of high quality chemical abundances. He has been internationally acknowledged for this work by interstellar medium experts. |
