SESSION: THE SCIENTIFIC SYNERGY BETWEEN THE LMT AND ALMA. 
 

This conference session is devoted to millimeter-wavelength astronomy and will include presentations related to two major new facilities, the Large Millimeter Telescope (LMT) Alfonso Serrano and the Atacama Large Millimeter Array (ALMA).  Overviews of the current status of the LMT and ALMA observatories, the specifications and performance of both facilities, as well as descriptions of their current and future suites of instrumentation will be given.  Conference participants are invited to present contributed talks, covering the broad scientific goals of both facilities (formation and evolution of structure, including planets, stars, galaxies and clusters), that demonstrate the synergy between the LMT and ALMA.  The LMT project will also provide an open workshop and Q&A session to assist the astronomy community in the preparation of scientific proposals and the reduction of LMT data from the two first-light instruments (Redshift Search Receiver and AzTEC).     Se les invita a inscribirse  en el congreso CNA-2013 y a participar en la  Sesión  "The scientific synergy between the LMT and ALMA”.    Esperamos contar con su amable asistencia.
